使い 方を 教えてください
Chain several actions with the て form, describe features with 〜は〜が, and ask how something is done.
V1 て、V2 て、… ／ A-くて／A-なで、〜
The て form chains actions in chronological order: 朝 起きて、シャワーを 浴びて、 会社へ 行きます. Adjectives chain too: -い ones with 〜くて (安くておいしい), and -な ones and nouns with で (ハンサムで 親切です).
Examples
日曜日は 買い 物して、 映画を 見ました。
On Sunday I went shopping and saw a film.
奈良は 静かで、きれいな 町です。
Nara is a quiet, beautiful town.
V1 てから、V2
〜てから stresses that the second action happens once the first is finished: 仕事が 終わってから、 泳ぎに 行きます.
Examples
お 金を 入れてから、ボタンを 押してください。
After putting the money in, press the button.
N1 は N2 が A です
To describe a feature of part of the topic you use は…が…: 大阪は 食べ 物が おいしいです (the food in Osaka is delicious), マリアさんは 髪が 長いです.
Examples
ミラーさんは 背が 高いです。
Mr. Miller is tall.
N を V (to leave, to get off)
を also marks the place you leave or get off: 電車を 降ります (to get off the train), 大学を 出ます (to graduate).
Examples
梅田で 電車を 降りてください。
Get off the train at Umeda.
どうやって V ますか
どうやって asks about the manner or procedure; the answer chains the steps with the て form.
Examples
大学までどうやって 行きますか。… 京都駅から16 番のバスに 乗って、 大学前で 降ります。
How do you get to the university? …From Kyoto station I take bus 16 and get off at Daigaku-mae.
どれ ／ どの N
To choose among three or more options you use どれ (on its own) or どの + noun: どれが 私の 傘ですか, どの 人が 山田さんですか.
Examples
ミラーさんはどの 人ですか。…あの 背が 高い 人です。
Which one is Mr. Miller? …That tall one.
